A former guide across Europe, she has long explored the world through encounters and shared stories.
Then one day, Sumba became an obvious choice.
It was no longer just a journey, but a true encounter.

Deeply aligne with her current pwork as a holistic therapist, she found in this land a profound resonance with the ancestral beliefs and shamanism practiced by the Sumbanese people.

Always cheerful and smiling, Umbu is much more than a guide: he is a storyteller, a weaver of connections, and an opener of forgotten paths.

With his lively voice and ever-present laughter, Ferdy puts everyone at ease from the very first moment.
After 18 years in the Netherlands, he decided to return to his native island. For the past five years, he has been crisscrossing the roads of Sumba as a driver-guide, always eager to share his love of the land, life stories and plenty of good laughs.
